Access to behavioral healthcare, as well as information that educates, is extremely important. While Metrocare has a broad reach in the Dallas area, we are not able to inform everyone. This is where you come in. You can help bring greater acccess to behavioral health care through the various ways below:

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways you or your company can support Metrocare’s work and help erase the stigma of behavioral health challenges in Dallas County.


Metrocare’s goal is to advocate for effective legislature that helps improve funding for programs that address the mental health, intellectual disability, substance use disorder treatment, primary care, pediatrics and housing programs for individuals in Dallas County and throughout the state. 

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is an eight-hour training certification course which teaches participants a five-step action plan to assess a situation, select and implement interventions and secure appropriate care for the individual.
