METROCARE SERVICES ANNOUNCES OPENING OF NEW MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC IN ADDISON

The Nonprofit Mental Health Provider and City Leaders Will Celebrate Opening of Metrocare at Midway with Ribbon-Cutting and Open House on March 26

DALLAS – March 26, 2015 - Metrocare Services, the largest nonprofit provider of mental and behavioral services in Dallas County, will celebrate the opening of its new mental health clinic in Addison on Thursday, March 26 with a ribbon cutting and open house. Metrocare at Midway offers behavioral health services to children, teens and adults throughout Northwest Dallas County who are experiencing severe emotional and/or social problems.

The official ribbon cutting, hosted by the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce, will take place at 10 a.m. on March 26 at the clinic, located at 16160 Midway Rd., Ste. 200, in Addison.  Speakers at the ceremony include Addison Mayor Todd Meier and Metrocare board chair Jill Martinez.

Metrocare COO Linda Thompson will emcee the ribbon cutting. Following the ribbon-cutting, guests will be invited to take guided tours of the clinic during an open house that lasts until 1 p.m.

“The new Metrocare at Midway clinic will allow us to better serve the growing needs of Addison and Northwest Dallas County by giving individuals the quality treatment and support they truly deserve,” said Dr. John Burruss, CEO of Metrocare.

Metrocare at Midway, which opened its doors in late 2014, serves the communities around Northwest Dallas County, an area that was identified as having a need for mental healthcare services. Metrocare at Midway provides services to adults as well as children and adolescents in a spacious and newly-updated space.

The clinic allows clients easy access to services thanks to its location near bus routes, abundant parking and its multiple exam rooms. There are two separate waiting rooms, one for adults receiving services and one for children and adolescents. The Midway clinic also houses a pharmacy, which makes it a one-stop-shop for clients to receive treatment and their medications.

Metrocare at Midway is led by Associate Medical Director Imraan Qureshi, M.D., Child and Adolescent Operations Manager Rochelle Schutte, Clinical Manager Sonya Frank, Pharmacist Emma Oh and Business Operations Manager Jonathan McNorton. The center’s staff also includes a Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant, two Licensed Professional Counselors, and several other clinical and support staff who keep the center running smoothly.

The clinic hopes to meet the growing need for mental healthcare in Northwest Dallas County and cut down on travel times for those who need help.

“We look forward to enhancing mental healthcare in the community and improving the lives of children, teens and adults who might not otherwise get the care they need,” said Dr. Qureshi.

Later this year, Metrocare at Midway plans to open a primary care facility within the center that will offer services to Metrocare patients and the public, including immunizations, physicals, and treatments for colds and flu, asthma, allergies, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Like Metrocare’s other locations, Metrocare at Midway accepts all insurances, Medicaid, Medicare and NorthSTAR for residents of Dallas County. For those outside of Dallas County, self-pay is accepted.  Metrocare Midway 214.689.5196
