Identify common and dangerous substances associated with pica and recognize associated medical risks. \n3. Recognize behavioral\, medical\, and systemic signs of pica across pediatric\, adult\, and IDD populations. \n4. Explain the multifactorial causes of pica\, including biological\, nutritional\, psychological\, developmental\, and environmental factors. \n5. Describe evidence-based diagnostic approaches\, including appropriate laboratory testing and imaging when indicated. \n6. Discuss multidisciplinary treatment strategies\, including medical management\, behavioral interventions\, nutritional support\, and caregiver education. \n7.
