PURPOSE OF JOB:

The CLS is responsible for the direct care and supervision of individuals residing in a twenty-four hour alternate living residence. The primary responsibility is for timely intervention and provision of homemaker, habilitation services, and residential support services per the consumers’ individualized habilitation plan.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School/GED with two to three years experience in MH/MR, or related field preferably in a residential, habilitative training program or related human services setting.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Job Placement Specialist is to provide opportunity, guidance, and overall supervision ofhabilitation services/vocational services for consumers’ personal independence and community integration.  The program assists consumers in preparing for, finding, and maintaining employment.  Through work adjustment training, community inclusion, and work opportunities in various settings, services are delivered to consumers with developmental disabilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in the human services or related field or High School Diploma and one (1) year of full-time experience working in the field of mental retardation or other developmental disabilities. Bilingual preferred.
