GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of this job is to perform administrative and clerical support to assigned business unit inclusive of front office management, switchboard, medical records, customer service and other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma, GED; or demonstrated minimum competency in reading and math; plus experience working for/with developmental/intellectual disabilities desired. Experience working with computer software, answering customer service calls and excellent attendance.

Job Title: MH Business Office Coordinator

Salary: $38,000 - Depending Upon Skills/Education/Experience– bilingual stipend available

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The MH Office Coordinator’s role is to oversee the day to day operations of the business office and medical records department. The MH Office Coordinator works effectively with the Regional Medical Director, Clinical Managers, and Pharmacist to optimize services in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a customer friendly and cost effective business environment.
The essential functions listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job.
- Manage site patient flow, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner
- Manages/Maintains provider schedules in current software
- Manages waiting areas and directs patients to the appropriate staff to address needs
- Ensures patients are not left in waiting areas without provider knowing they are present
- Ensures patients are contacted and reminded of next days appointment
- Ensures patients are followed up on when they miss an appointment
- Collaborates with Medical Director, Clinical Manager, and Pharmacist to ensure that patients are not sent away without being served. Reports problems to Business Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or other health related field preferred or High School degree with 2 to 3 years in a business office role
- Proven success in leadership, with the ability to assign work, manage, train, and motivate as well as to evaluate performance of staff
- Experience developing, training, recruiting and managing staff
- Ability and experience to develop and assess workflows, including proposing, developing and implementing policies and procedures
