PURPOSE OF JOB:
Provides guidance regarding life skills and practical application of all training received.  To include, but not limited to consumer daily living skills, problem solving, anger management, symptom support and utilizing resources and referrals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree with one-year experience or High School/GED with four to five years experience in MH/MR, vocational services, human services or business.  Prefer experience in teaching living skills and/or psycho/educational material.

Job Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Supervised By: Clinical Manager

Salary: $38,000-$46,000 depending upon Skills/Education/Experience

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The LCSW coordinates services and provides community-based psychosocial rehabilitation programming and therapeutic services to individuals or groups of consumers assigned to a specific treatment team.  As an effective member of the treatment team, the LCSW participates in treatment team meetings, interacts with assigned consumers, documents behavioral interventions, and works cooperatively with other team members to provide services, which ameliorate symptoms of mental illness for consumers assigned to the team. The LCSW also interacts with the consumer’s family members and other providers in the community as appropriate to ensure that the consumer’s needs are being met. May perform functional assessments of consumer strengths, needs and resources to determine appropriate teaching/learning expectations and to analyze mastery of skills. May need to call in clinical information to obtain authorizations for services from BHO’s.  The LCSW is primarily responsible for monitoring services and providing Community Support Services and therapeutic services. The LCSW uses a basic knowledge of diagnostic characteristics, symptomology of primary mental illness and knowledge of medications, side effects and benefits to provide services in a person-centered, supportive, community-based environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree Social Work, with 1 to 3 years of experience working in community mental health. LCSW licensure required.
