The Center for Children with Autism at Metrocare Services (CCAM) is reaching out to the Metroplex to offer quality, affordable, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Our goal is to lead each child to his or her potential through evidence based therapy founded on the principles of ABA including Verbal Behavior (VB).
We provide a hands-on approach with assessments, one-to-one therapy, and parent training to maximize progress. Each program is tailored to the behavior, social, and communication needs of the child while also maintaining a creative, energetic environment. All services are directly implemented by highly qualified specialists with on-going Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervision.
- Serving children ages 2 to 8
- One-to-one therapist/child ratio
- Degreed therapists
- Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) based on each child’s needs
- Two-hour sessions from 2 to 5 days a week
- Bi-lingual therapy available

What is Autism?
Autism is a complex developmental disability that affects the way a person sees and interacts with the world. Autism limits a person’s ability to communicate and interact with others and typically appears during the first three years of life. Autism has no cure, but is treatable. With proper intervention and treatment early in life, individuals with Autism can achieve great success.
Characteristics of Autism
- Impaired social interaction
- Difficulties with verbal and nonverbal communication
- Unusual, repetitive, or severely limited activities and interests
- Symptoms observed by age 3
Common Signs of Autism
- Unresponsive to people
- Engage in repetitive movements
- Avoid eye contact
- Non-verbal
- Lack empathy
- Obsessive interest
- Impaired ability to make friends with peers
- Absence/impairment of imaginative and social play
- Inflexible adherence to specific routines or rituals
- Lack of interest in sharing enjoyment, interests, or achievements with other people
