The Metrocare Auxiliary
In early 2009, a group of Dallas community members came together to form the Metrocare Auxiliary. The Auxiliary's role is to raise awareness of Metrocare and their clients' needs, while also assisting in securing funding to enhance patient services and programs.
The Auxiliary meets 3-4 times a year at fun gatherings such as the annual membership drive (usually in February or March) and a shopping spree fundraiser (usually in late spring/early summer).

The major event the Auxiliary assists with is the annual Meal for the Minds luncheon each September where members are involved in several roles; selling tickets, soliciting cakes for the Edible Auction, table decorations and assisting staff with logistics.
This Auxiliary is envisioned to be one in which members can give their time, talent or resources – which ever is appropriate for their life at the time. For some, it may be a very low commitment with most involvement being participation during the luncheon. Others may decide to take on a leadership role and give of their time and talents throughout the year. Several members donate weekly time to the Kids’ Kloset
We have asked all members to give a tax-deductible membership fee of $30 (annual membership) or $300 (lifetime membership).
