PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Medical Assistant provides assistance to the medical staff in providing direct patient care to acutely and chronically ill consumers. The Medical Assistant and the Psychiatrist jointly assure that the Medical Assistant’s delegated tasks are within the scope of the educational bases and demonstrated abilities. Assignments made, which are beyond the basic education scope, should be validated and observed competence appropriately documented. The Medical Assistant also provides administrative support to the site medical staff as directed by the Unit Medical Director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school/GED with zero to two years experience in MH/MR or human services. Graduate of a formal program in medical assisting accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Transcript should document training in phlebotomy and performance of electrocardiograms.
Certification through The American Association of Medical Assistants or registration through the American Medical Technologists is strongly encouraged and preferred.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Clinical Manager III delivers and coordinates community based mental health services to consumers assigned to a specific team. The Clinical Manager III works collaboratively with the Business Manager to insure daily operational outcomes are met and works collaboratively with the team Doctor/APN to insure clinical outcomes are met for the team. The Clinical Manager III ensure the team is compliant with all agency performance metrics and payer or contract documentation requirements. Additionally, the Clinical Manager III operates in a treatment team model, which dictates that all consumers are assigned to a specific treatment team and team provider. The Clinical Manager III conducts treatment staffings, provides direct service interventions with consumers, monitors the uniform assessment and treatment planning process, collaborates with the business manager to assure all consumer services are authorized. Directly responsible to ensure service delivery is documented according to established policy. The Clinical Manager III may carry a caseload as directed and provide individual, family and/or group intervention with consumers. The Clinical Manager III insures that all team members are adequately trained to provide services.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree in Social Services or related field with 2 to 3 years of mental health experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. Possess an advanced licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The LPHA coordinates services and provides community-based psychosocial rehabilitation programming and therapeutic services to individuals or groups of consumers assigned to a specific treatment team. As an effective member of the treatment team, the LPHA participates in treatment team meetings, interacts with assigned consumers, documents behavioral interventions, and works cooperatively with other team members to provide services, which ameliorate symptoms of mental illness for consumers assigned to the team. The LPHA also interacts with the consumer’s family members and other providers in the community as appropriate to ensure that the consumer’s needs are being met. May perform functional assessments of consumer strengths, needs and resources to determine appropriate teaching/learning expectations and to analyze mastery of skills. May need to call in clinical information to obtain authorizations for services from BHO’s. The LPHA is primarily responsible for monitoring services and providing Community Support Services and therapeutic services. The LPHA uses a basic knowledge of diagnostic characteristics, symptomology of primary mental illness and knowledge of medications, side effects and benefits to provide services in a person-centered, supportive, community-based environment.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
Serves as part of the interdisciplinary team in identifying and addressing needs of the consumer. The Family Advocate is a family member or primary caregiver of a child who has had severe emotional disturbance and has received treatment in the past or currently in a community mental health type setting (regardless of location). The Family Partner is part of the wraparound team and can speak to the non-clinical, natural support needs of the child/family. The family partner is instrumental in orienting families to services, listening to the needs and helping to identify strengths.
