GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The position provides information on services and supports for which the individual may be eligible. Specifically, new referrals are contacted and scheduled for assessment within appropriate time frames. The IC performs screenings for individuals seeking services and supports; provides an explanation of services and supports using DADS approved documents; triages immediate needs in response to crisis situations; conducts financial assessments and determines whether a request can be met with resources at the MRA or whether the individual will be directed to alternate resources in the community.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in the human services or AA in human services with 3 years experience working in the field of mental retardation or other developmental disabilities.
