Dr. North currently serves as Professor of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center with over 18 years experience on the faculty at Washington University School of Medicine. She has testified to the US Senate on disaster mental health effects, provided consultation to the NYC’s Department of Health on post-9/11 mental health response and preparation, and written more than 130 published scientic articles. For her work on academic and clinical psychiatry and public service, Dr. North has been recognized by Congress, the American Psychiatric Association and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
